George Bush was asked on Nightline if he believed that he prayed to the same God that Muslims and those of other beliefs do. His answer: "I do, I do believe that there is an Almighty that is broad enough and big enough and loving enough that can encompass a lot of people". (As reported by Christianity Today)
For all of the good that we saw in former President Bush's personal faith, it seems that he believes in the same universalism as President Obama and many other leaders of our time. Bush also stated that the Bible is probably not literal, but that you can learn a lot from it.
What are your thoughts on the many today who claim that all religions pray to the same God?

Glad you brought this up. It seems to me that the missing link is Jesus. The God of the Bible we serve sent His Son to redeem us. Many other religions leave Christ out of the equation, but put a "god" figure out there. It wouldn't surprise me to know that either Bush or Obama's faith weren't as important to them as they make them appear. It's easy to talk the talk.....but apparently their talk's even screwed up.
Gabe,
Thanks for your thoughts.
Yes, many are claiming God, but few are claiming that "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12)
You can't have it both ways.
Slippery slope to a spineless one-world religious system... and intolerance of anyone who has the gall to think otherwise.
